Non-Profit Cat Shelters, like the Hobe Sound Animal Protection League in Martin County or the Humane Society in Saint Lucie county often have a hard time placing homeless cats due to the sheer number of new arrivals.
The majority of these cats prove to be great pets in spite of their unfavorable pasts. Many have been abused, treated poorly, or simply abandoned.
